Salisbury Police ask for the public’s help in finding three people in connection with the shooting of Brian Oglesby. He was shot July 22 at a house on Tabernacle Street in Salisbury.
Oglesby remains at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte in critical condition.
Those being sought are Joshua Marquis Byrd, 22; Ronald Lee Bowman, 28; and Porchia Sharee Byrd, 27.
Police investigators have identified Joshua Byrd as the shooter and have obtained a warrant on him for attempted murder. Byrd has been eluding police since the time of the shooting.
Bowman allegedly robbed Oglesby at the same time and police have obtained warrants charging him with robbery with a dangerous weapon. Other outstanding warrants on Bowman include one for statutory rape in connection with a crime that occurred in 2004.
Porchia Byrd is the sister of Joshua Byrd and she is known to frequently accompany him. She is wanted for violating probation.
Police have said Oglesby was shot multiple times in the stomach during a party with 100 people or more in attendance. Police responded to a call about a large party at the Tabernacle Street home prior to the shooting. Officers cleared the scene as the party began to break up.
About 20 minutes later, police received a report that a man had been shot. Officers found Oglesby lying in a hallway with gunshot wounds to the abdomen.
Anyone with knowledge of the whereabouts of the three suspects is asked to contact the Salisbury Police Department at 704-638-5333 or the law enforcement agency with jurisdiction where the individuals are located.
They should be considered armed and dangerous, police said.
