A Salisbury man is being held without bond for breaking into a home in Kannapolis and assaulting a woman.
Stacey Lamar Chambers, 36, of 1033 Rachel Lane, is charged with first-degree burglary and assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, inflicting serious injury.
According to information from Kannapolis Police Officer L. A. Carden, the assault occurred around 4 a.m. Wednesday at 2909 N. Main St. in Kannapolis.
A Rowan magistrate ordered Chambers held without bond because of a domestic relationship with the victim.
Chambers is set to appear in Rowan County District Court today.
