Kannapolis Y trip to dinner theater

The Kannapolis YMCA will hold its first Senior Trip Feb. 11. The group will go to the Barn Dinner Theatre in Greensboro from the YMCA at 11 a.m. and return to the YMCA at 7 p.m.

The play is “Smoke on the Mountain” and is a comedy set in the 1930s. The cost is $45 per person and includes dinner, the show and transportation.

‘Healing our Hearts’ workshop

Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus County is offering a free workshop, “Healing Our Hearts,” on Feb. 13 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Participants will make artwork to honor and remember loved ones. No art experience is necessary.

The workshop is open to all ages and will be held at Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus County on Boy Scout Road.
