Rowan Regional Medical Center and the Kannapolis Intimidators will get together Saturday to hold their annual breast cancer awareness night at Fieldcrest Stadium.
Funds will be raised through a jersey auction to benefit the Charlotte Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
Players will wear specially designed jerseys during the game that will be available for auction.
Each lucky winner will get the shirt off the players’ backs following the game.
Salisbury resident and breast cancer survivor Joyce Salvatoriello will throw out the first ball.
“We are very pleased to again be a sponsor of breast cancer awareness night at Fieldcrest Stadium,” said Chuck Elliott, CEO of Rowan Regional Medical Center. “Rowan Regional shares their commitment to the advancement of breast cancer research, education, screening and treatment. In fact, thanks to a grant from Komen Charlotte, we were able to offer free mammograms to women at our South Rowan Medical Mall in China Grove earlier this year.
“We look forward to our continued partnership with Komen Charlotte in the fight against breast cancer.”
The game will be Saturday at 7:05 p.m.
