Theft of guns investigated

The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the theft of guns from a home in recent days.
Gale Norman Ballard, 1026 N. Enochville Ave., reported a break-in at her home between Nov. 25 and Nov. 29.
Assorted jewelry valued at $5,200 was taken along with a 30-06 Remington rifle and a .22 handgun.
Other incidents, reports or charges from the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office:
– Channing C. Peoples, 165 Hawkins Loop, reported the theft of a flatscreen TV and various XBox and PlayStation games, devices with a total value of $1,640. The theft occurred between Nov. 26 and Nov. 28.
– Cheyenne Lee Duncan, 27, was charged with carrying a concealed weapon and Anthony Stuart Duncan, was charged with resist delay, obstruct a public officer following a traffic stop Nov. 26 at 4913 Old Beatty Ford Road.
Officers seized a 45 Taurus pistol and a .22 Jennings pistol as evidence.
