Grant Culp graduates from N.C. State University

Grant Culp is a Dec. 20 graduate of N.C. State University in Raleigh. He received a bachelor of science degree in natural resource–economics and management.

A 2001 graduate of East Rowan High School, Culp attended Wingate University before transferring to NCSU in the fall of 2003.

He pledged Farmhouse Fraternity at NCSU and was chapter secretary for one term and president and university board member for two terms. Under his leadership, the fraternity received the 2004-05 Caldwell Cup as the top chapter and was Outstanding Fraternity of the Year in 2005-06.

Son of Philip and Patty Culp of Salisbury, he is construction manager for Culp Brothers Inc. of Gold Hill.

Goodman a December graduate of UNCG

Kate Goodman graduated Dec. 14 from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a bachelor of science degree in interior architecture.

A dean’s list student at UNCG, Goodman is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Giles Goodman of Salisbury.

She graduated from West Rowan High School in 2000.

She has accepted a position with Little Diversified Architectural Consultants in Charlotte.

Webb an ECU graduate

Jancie Leigh Webb is a Dec. 16 graduate of East Carolina University in Greenville. She received a bachelor of science degree in nursing.

At ECU, Webb was a member of Sigma Theta Tau nursing honor society. She is a 2002 graduate of East Rowan High School and daughter of Jane Lowery Webb of Salisbury and the late Jim Webb.

She has accepted a position in the Neuro-Surgical Intensive Care Unit at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill.

Adam Martin graduates from Appalachian State

Adam Hayes Martin graduated from Appalachian State University Dec. 10 with a bachelor’s degree in political science.

At Appalachian, Martin was a member of the Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society and Pi Gamma Mu honor society for social sciences.

He is a 2002 graduate of Salisbury High School and the son of Nan Martin of Salisbury and the late Don Martin.

UNC-Charlotte grad

Zachary James “Zack” Willett is a Dec. 16 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He received a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering.

A 2001 graduate of South Rowan High School, he is the son of Jim and Frieda Willett of China Grove.

He is employed by Summit Engineering in Charlotte.

Lee University grad

Lisa Marie Holder is a Dec. 16 graduate of Lee University in Cleveland, Tenn. She received a bachelor of science degree in telecommunications.

A graduate of South Rowan High School, she is the daughter of Harold and Frances Holder of Salisbury.

She will be working in television productions.

Appalachian graduate

Jeremy Ryan Alderman is a Dec. 10 graduate of Appalachian State University in Boone. He received a master of arts degree in political science.

As a graduate student, Alderman worked as a graduate assistant and completed an internship with the N.C. State Bureau of Investigation. He is also a 2004 magna cum laude graduate of Appalachian with a bachelor of science degree in political science.

A 2000 honor graduate of East Rowan High School, he is the son of David and Rhonda Alderman. He is employed by the Rowan County Sheriff’s Department.

Methodist graduate

Jennifer Melissa Hartsell is a Dec. 16 graduate of Methodist College in Fayetteville. She received a master of medical science degree in physician assistant studies.

Hartsell is also a 2004 graduate of Appalachian State University, where she received a bachelor of science degree in biology.

A 2000 honor graduate of East Rowan High School, she is the daughter of Jim and Beverly Hartsell and Cheryl Hedgecock.

She will be practicing at Rowan Family Physicians.
