Julianna weighed 5 pounds 7 ounces and Jillian weighed 5 pounds. Grandparents are Joe and Brenda Everhart Linn of Salisbury and Darrell A. and Faye Raby of Gatesville.

A son, Josiah Christopher Saah, was born to Whitney Carter and Joseph Samolu of Salisbury on Dec. 12, 2009, at Lexington Memorial Hospital. He weighed 8 pounds, 1 ounce. He has a sister, Ja’Zaria Samolu, 3. Grandparents are Rickey and Loretta Rice and Joseph and Tonya Samolu, all of Salisbury and Pastor Annie Johnson of St. Paul, Minn. Lillie Rice of Welford, S.C. is great-grandparent. Fannie Keese of Reidsville is great-great-grandparent.

A son, Lukas Spencer, was born to Tiffany Alisha Byerly and Darren Lane Nail of China Grove on Nov. 21, 2009, at Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast. He weighed 6 pounds, 4 ounces. Grandparents are June Nail of China Grove, Kevin Nail of Salisbury, Penny Byerly of Lexington, Danny Byerly of Linwood. Great- grandparents are Bonnie and Charles Lentz of China Grove, Barbara Davis of Salisbury, Judy and Bobby Miller of Lexington, and Kaye Mischler and Odell Byerly, both of Linwood. Great-great-grandparents are June Williams of Kannapolis and Emma La-Rue Robinson of Lexington.

A son, Jordan Ahman Wesley, was born to Catherine Britt and Jason Smith of Salisbury on Oct. 20, 2009, at Rowan Regional Medical Center. He weighed 10 pounds, 6 ounces. He has a brother, Jalen Smith, 4. Grandparents are Larry and Jane Britt and Grady Smith of Salisbury, and Connie Smith of Gastonia. Sarah Smith of Gastonia is great-grandparent.
