Flea market looks to reopen in August
SALISBURY ó An owner of the Webb Road Flea Market says the market will probably reopen in August.
Catherine Popp of Charlotte gave a progress report in an email Thursday
ěIt looks like our ëíofficialí grand opening will not occur this weekend as weíd originally hoped,î Popp said, ěbut weíre making great progress and hope to have all of our vendors moved in by the last week in July, with grand opening activities planned the first weekend in August.î
Since fire destroyed the flea marketís buildings last September, some vendors have continued to do business in an open-air area on the property.
When construction is complete, the market will have 10 buildings and a covered breezeway.
Other owners of the market are Poppís husband, Joey Popp, and her sister and brother-in-law, Libby and Chris Stephens of Morganton.
