MOCKSVILLE ó Maybe D.J. Webb remembers high school.
Webb, the former West Rowan star and current Catawba pitcher, shut down South Rowan 10-0 in seven innings for Mocksville (13-9, 12-4). Mocksville remained a half-game back of Rowan in the Southern Division.
South Rowan (8-15, 7-11) managed just five hits off Webb, led by Dylan Walker, who had two. Connor Bridges, Maverick Miles and Matt Miller also scratched out hits.
Mocksville was led by Caleb Brawley, who had two homers and four RBIs.
Jesse Park took the loss for South Rowan, who is now off until the playoffs begin on Friday. Mocksville goes to the Mooresville Legends today.
