YMCA, United Way partner

The YMCA is a leading nonprofit organization founded on Christian principles that promotes youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The YMCA of Rowan County relies on public support to provide exceptional programs, services and outreach to our local community. We work to nurture the potential of children and teens, improve the community’s health and well-being and give back and support our neighbors.

Because the YMCA is a Rowan County United Way member agency, Rowan County children can afford youth memberships, youth sports, before and after school care and swimming lessons. Rowan County United Way support goes directly towards our financial assistance program, which assures that no child is ever turned away from a YMCA program due to their family’s inability to pay.
