Chambers, who lives in the 700 block of Bringle Ferry Road, called Sharia Akbar and Chenice Blackwell and asked them to give him a ride on Tuesday, according to Salisbury Police Capt. Melanie Thompson.

Akbar and Blackwell went to a nearby car to get cigarettes from friends, and when they returned, Akbar noticed someone had gone through her purse. When she confronted the men, Chambers pulled a small handgun on her and stole $140, according to the police report.
On Wednesday, a party with people who had been banned from the 1000 block of East Lafayette Street was reported, and police found Chambers in an upstairs bedroom. Chambers was banned from the property in August 2009.
Chambers was arrested and issued a bond of $25,000 for the robbery charge, $5,000 for secured bond for the probation violation and $2,500 secured bond for the second degree trespassing, for a total of $32,500.
