The Rowan County Board of Commissioners will meet with the Rowan-Cabarrus Community College Board of Trustees Monday prior to the board’s business meeting.

The trustees will present an overview about the college’s role in building community through public higher education and workforce development for collaborative discussion.

The Board of Trustees will discuss several proposed recommendations by the personnel, building and grounds, finance and investment and institutional advancement and legislative committees.

They will also discuss an in-kind donation from Honda and Brady Equipment, welcome new trustee Matthew Barr and recognize former trustee Scott Padgett, review the 2015-17 North Carolina legislative process, and get updates on accreditation, the North campus additions and an update on spring enrollment.

The board meeting is scheduled for Monday at 4 p.m., at the North Campus in the Paradowski Boardroom. The North Campus is located at I-85 (exit 75) and Jake Alexander Boulevard in Salisbury.
