GRANITE QUARRY — The Granite Quarry Fire Department will have a benefit barbecue chicken dinner for firefighter John Cannon and his family Feb. 28.

All orders will be takeout only, and they can be picked up at the fire station on North Salisbury Avenue from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Feb. 28. The dinners include a half barbecue chicken, slaw, baked beans, roll and dessert.

All proceeds will go to Cannon, who is fighting lung cancer.. Tickets are available at the Granite Quarry Fire Department or from any member of the department. For more information, contact Hannah Brown at 704-239-6948.
