Robert C. “Bob” Poole, Jr. and Beverly Lanning Poole celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Feb. 27, 2015. They were married at Oakdale Baptist Church by the Rev. H.M. Hocutt. Bob and Beverly both retired in 2014 from teaching careers, he from Rowan-Cabarrus Community College and she from Rowan-Salisbury Schools.
Family members include daughter Sarah P. Frazier, her husband Michael and son Reid; son David C. Poole, his wife Amy, and daughter Mikayla.
Bob is the son of Wallace R. and Louise Stone Yates of Salisbury; Beverly is the daughter of the late Harrell R. and Irene Beck Lanning.
