UNC’s lab at N.C. Research Campus to host free seminars in Kannapolis

KANNAPOLIS ­— Join the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Nutrition Research Institute for the 2014 Appetite for Life Academy New Frontiers in Research series.
Each seminar is free and will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesdays in the events room of the David H. Murdock Core Laboratory Building, 150 Research Campus Drive in Kannapolis. Can’t attend? Watch the webcasts.
• April 1 Uric Acid: A New Look at an Old Risk Factor for Gout and Cardio-renal Disease. Dr. Saroja Voruganti, NRI researcher and assistant professor in the Department of Nutrition, UNC-Chapel Hill.
• April 8 This is Your Brain on Sugar! Dr. Kyle S. Burger, assistant professor in the Department of Nutrition, UNC-Chapel Hill.
• April 22 Berries and the Brain: Partners in Life and Longevity. Dr. Carol Cheatham, NRI researcher and assistant professor in the Department of Psychology, UNC-Chapel Hill, and Kelly Sheppard, PhD candidate, department of psychology.
