Authorities are looking into a report that two vehicles were damaged after being broken into in two neighboring restaurant parking lots on the same night.

A man parked at LongHorn Steakhouse on Sunday between 6:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. came out to discover his vehicle had been broken into, Salisbury Police said.

A window was broken, and it appeared someone used a pry tool to pop open the lock on the door. Nothing appeared to be missing, the owner told police.

In the second incident, which was discovered around 8:30 p.m. in the parking lot of Olive Garden, the owner told police he had a black backpack with work documents inside. He’d gone inside the restaurant around 7 p.m. and came out around 8:30 p.m.

He said a side window was broken and the thief appeared to have used a pry tool to pop the lock.
