Piedmont players holding auditions for “Charlotte’s Web”

Piedmont Players Theater is holding youth auditions for its upcoming production of “Charlotte’s Web.”
The play, based on the classic children’s book by the same title, tells the story of the unlikely friendship between Wilbur the pig and Charlotte the spider.
The show will be May 7-16.
Auditions will be held March 30 and 31 at 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. Auditions are by appointment only, and there are only 25 spots per time slot.
Callbacks will be April 1.
Available roles are: Fern Arable, a young girl; John Arable, Fern’s father; Martha Arable, Fern’s mother; Avery Arable, Fern’s brother; Homer Zuckerman, Fern’s uncle; Edith Zuckerman, Fern’s aunt; Lurvy, a hired hand; Wilber, a pig; Templeton, a rat; Charlotte, a spider; Farm animals, including a goose, gander, sheep and lamb and an ensemble, including a reporter, photographer, spectators, judges, fairgoers, announcer and spiders.
Auditions will be held at the Norvell Theater, 135 E. Fisher St. in Salisbury.
