County officials make typos too, and they’ll have to hold a special called meeting to correct one made this week.

During the Rowan County Board of Commissioners Monday meeting, a public hearing for a local government commission loan application was set for April 6. The time, however, was listed on the county’s agenda as being scheduled for 6 p.m. Commissioners will have a special called meeting on Friday to change the time of the public hearing to match with the commissioners regularly scheduled meeting time.

Meetings for the board are scheduled twice per month. The first meeting of the month is regularly scheduled to occur at 3 p.m., on the first Monday. The second meeting is regularly scheduled to occur at 6 p.m. on the third Monday of the month.

No other business items are listed on a meeting notice sent out Wednesday at 2:30 p.m.

The public hearing commissioners will clarify the time for will be to gather public comments on a $3.95 million Local Government Commission loan request. The loan would pay to replenish the cost of the county’s $3.4 million purchase of the former Salisbury Mall and provide an additional $500,000 for renovations.

Friday’s called meeting will be at 2:30 p.m. at the county’s administrative offices on West Innes Street.
