Heath and Angie (Atwell) Heglar of Cleveland are thrilled to announce the engagement of their daughter, Miss Lacy Rae Heglar, to Mr. Matthew Christopher Sheets, son of Joe and Tina Sheets of Salisbury.
Lacy is the granddaughter of Donald and Linda Ostwalt of Moores­ville, Grant and Shirley Heglar of Cleveland and the great-granddaughter of Ruby Beaver of Cleveland.
Matthew is the grandson of Carlton and Becky Rickard of Lexington and the late Betty Rickard of Lexington, and the late Eugene and Eunice Sheets of Woodleaf.
Lacy graduated from Appalachian State University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. She is currently a second grade teacher in the Rowan-Salisbury School System.
Matthew graduated from Appalachian State University in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education. He is currently a Physical Education teacher in the Cabarrus County School System.
The couple is planning an Aug. 1 wedding in Sparta.
