Landis’ Board of Aldermen will meet Saturday for their annual planning retreat.

The board will review the goals and capital budget requests from the town’s administration, light, water and wastewater, storm water, police, fire, street and parks and recreation departments. They will also discuss the town’s funds and projected revenue for 2015-16.

Board members will also hear from several of the town’s service providers and receive updates on town projects.

A.J. Molner with Southeastern Engineering will brief the board on the town’s conversion from a four kilovolt to a 12 kilovolt power system, and Matt Schull from Electricities will talk about the town’s current and projected power rates.

The board is looking into the possibility of installing a second elevated water tank, so Mike Acquesta will update the board on the town’s sewer and water projects, as well as the newest flow study on the water system. The board will also discuss the possibility of going to an automatic read meter.

Jeff Ashbugh will talk about the progress on the Parks and Recreation Trust Fund upgrades to the Lake Corriher Wilderness Area. He will update the board on the progress of the plan and will discuss when construction can begin.

Robert Van Geons will discuss the economic and development issues surrounding Landis.

The board will meet at 9 a.m. at Landis City Hall in the council’s chambers, 312 S. Main St. in Landis. The meeting will conclude around 1 p.m.
