Three people will be honored during the annual Mayor’s Spirit Luncheon Tuesday at City Hall.
Mayor Paul Woodson will recognize Phyllis Partee, Rebecca Stinson and Albert Stout Jr. for their years of bringing “harmony” to the city through music and singing in church choirs and at community functions and celebrations.
“They’re a class act,” Woodson said about the group, adding they have beautiful voices and are very talented.
The luncheon topic is “A Spirit of Harmony: Strengthening Our Community Through Music.” Partee, Stinson and Stout will speak and perform during the event, which begins at noon.
The event is sponsored by Covenant Community Connection, a subcommittee of the Salisbury-Rowan Human Relations Council.
