The Rowan-Salisbury Board of Education will meet Wednesday to hear the preliminary findings of its reaccreditation with AdvancEd.

An accreditation team of eight members arrived Sunday evening and will be working through Wednesday morning to complete an evaluation of the school system.

“They come in and evaluate how we do what we do,” said Public Information Officer Rita Foil.

The team will talk to district and school administrators, as well as go into 10 schools to observe. They will look at everything from curriculum to human resources to public relations.

“We’re talking a lot about the strategic plan and how everything we do is focused on the strategic plan,” Foil added.

At Wednesday’s called meeting, the Board of Education will hear the team’s preliminary findings on the district. A full, written report will be released sometime in the next month.

The board will meet at 3 p.m. at Horizons Unlimited, 1636 Parkview Circle in Salisbury.
