Mr. and Mrs. Edward M. Reefe of Boca Grande, Fla., and Linville, N.C., announce the engagement of their daughter, Kathryn (Katie) Lea Reefe, to Jeffrey (Jeff) David Skalka, son of Mr. and Mrs. David Skalka of Cary, N.C.
Katie is employed as a middle school science and math teacher by Salisbury Academy in Salisbury, N.C. Jeff is employed as a Capital Markets Credit Analyst by BB&T in Winston-Salem, N.C.
Katie earned a BA in Environmental Science and Policy from Duke University and a Master of Science in Kinesiology and Outdoor Education from the University of New Hampshire.
Jeff earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from North Carolina State University and has been accepted into Duke University’s Executive MBA program which begins in June 2015.
A family wedding will take place in Linville on Aug. 8. The couple plans to live in Winston-Salem.
