Other extra-curricular activities, honors: Junior Marshal, Civitan Scholar, playing in the praise band at my church, and volunteer work.

Advice to freshmen: Take your classes seriously but don’t overwhelm and stress yourself out too much. Don’t forget to make time for yourself, do what you enjoy doing, and remember to make every moment count because high school will be over before you know it!

Favorite high school memory: It’s hard to pinpoint one favorite memory, so I would have to say any of the countless moments I’ve spent with my best friends.

Proudest high school moment: Being a Junior Marshal.

If I had $10 million, I would: Pay for college, donate to my church and other organizations, Put some in savings, and give a portion to my mom and dad.

•Emma Grace Richie of Rockwell, daughter of Craig and Tracy Ritchie.

High school clubs/ sports: Tennis, Swimming, Junior Civitan, Student Council, and National Honors Society.

Other extra-curricular activities, honors: Volunteering at Special Olympics, Four-Year Civitan Scholar Award (Top ten class rank), East Rowan Honors Chorus.

Advice to freshmen: Balance the important and non-important things and take time for yourself. Try not to stress too much because if He brings you to it, He’ll bring you through it.

Favorite high school memory: My favorite high school memory is from this year’s tennis conference championship where my doubles partner, Kayce Wilson, and I defeated Concord to advance to regionals. We had just won the whole match, thinking it was just the end of the tiebreak and everyone cheered. It was confusing, funny, and exciting all at once. 

Proudest high school moment: My proudest high school moment was when I received my first scholarship at the Civitan Scholars Banquet because I felt like all my hard work and stressful moments had finally paid off.

If I had $10 million, I would: Keep part for myself and distribute the rest to my family, church, and charitable organizations like Relay for Life and Victory Junction.

Advice to freshmen: Remember, the only person who can determine who you are, is you.

Favorite high school memory: Hanging out with all of my friends by my pool over the summer.

Proudest high school moment: Probably the day Seth Culp and I finally got the robot in drafting to work.

If I had $10 million, I would: Take care of myself and my family, along with investing in the medical care for Veterans in need.

Other extra-curricular activities, honors: AP Scholar, Valedictorian, Mr. Snow King.

Advice to freshmen: School is very important because it can define your future, but your friends and family are more important because they are your past, present, and future.

Favorite high school memory: Camping out after my senior prom with my five best friends.

Proudest high school moment: Being named a Morehead-Cain Semi-finalist and then hearing acceptance into The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Go Heels!

If I had $10 million, I would: Travel the world to experience various cultures and discover my true passion.
