GRAD Steele DAR awards two students

The Elizabeth Maxwell Steele Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution has presented two awards known as the Daughters of the American Revolution, National Defense Committee ROTC Award.
They are presented to a high school graduating senior who has demonstrated academic excellence, dependability, good character, adherence to military discipline, leadership and a fundamental and patriotic understanding of the importance of the Reserve Officers Training Corps.
At the May 2015 awards ceremonies at East Rowan High School and North Rowan High School, these awards were presented to Senatre Ferris and Melissa Lore.
Ferris, a senior at East Rowan, is the daughter of Nathan and Kaloni Taylor.
Lore is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Romans.
