A pregnant Salisbury woman who was missing for several days has been found in Boone.

Carrie Bradshaw-Crowther, 49, was reported missing last Tuesday and located by the Watauga County Sheriff’s Department at 1:15 p.m. today. A news release from the Salisbury Police Department said Bradshaw-Crowther used her ATM card at a CVS store in Boone. Police were immediately notified, according to the news release. She was nine months pregnant when she went missing.

A Watauga County sheriff’s officer, following a be-on-the-lookout alert, spotted a champagne-colored Mazda van on NC Highway 105, which matched the description of Bradshaw-Crowther’s vehicle. A news release from Watauga County Sheriff’s Office said the van went into the Wilco Convenience store on North Carolina Highway 105, near Homespun Hills.

North Carolina Highway 105 leads into the Linville Gorge Wilderness area, which is where Bradshaw-Crowther was said to be headed.

A news release said the Watauga County sheriff’s deputy pulled beside the van without activating his lights. Bradshaw-Crowther got out of the vehicle and said “I am Carrie,” according to the news release.

She was subsequently taken to Watauga Medical Center for evaluation. The Watauga County Sheriff’s Office said it couldn’t provide any additional information because of medical privacy laws.

The vehicle was originally said to have a Kansas license plate, but was found on Monday to have a North Carolina plate.

Her daughter, Lauren Lusk, said Bradshaw-Crowther was scheduled to have a C-section at a Charlotte hospital on the day she disappeared.

Bradshaw-Crowther was previously seen on Wednesday, June 3, at a Shell station on East Broad Street in Statesville. Salisbury Police Department Spokesperson Shelia Lingle said that Bradshaw-Crowther was also seen at a hotel near the gas station in Statesville.

Lusk said she was gone for a short period to fill up her vehicle with gas before the C-section appointment. Lusk said when she returned to the house, Bradshaw-Crowther was gone. Her mother’s suitcase, clothes and purse were in the home, but Bradshaw-Crowther’s wallet and cellphone were missing.
