Celebration at Northside CoGoP
EAST SPENCER — Northside Church of God of Prophecy, 730 N. Long St., will hold a pre-Father’s Day Celebration Gospel Fest, an “appreciation for Jesus, Abba Father.”
The event will be held tonight at 5 p.m. with gospel groups, choirs, soloists, gospel rappers, gospel steppers from around the area.
Sponsored by the Women’s Missionary Societh and Pastors Aid. Host pastor is Bishop James Lott. For details, call 704-701-9375.
First Presybterian recognizes teachers, leaders
On Father’s Day Sunday, First Presbyterian Church – Salisbury will recognize and give thanks for all the teachers, leaders, and shepherds who have given faithfully of their time this past school year. Sunday sanctuary services are at 8:30 and 11 a.m. The Life Center service in Lewis Hall is at 8:50 a.m.
New Destiny holds relaunch
Bishop and Lady Rhinehart announce their ministry relaunch at New Destiny Temple of Faith on Father’s Day, June 21. Services will be every first and third Sunday from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at Salisbury Village in the Clubhouse (near the rental office), 200 Castlewood Drive.
United Ministerial Alliance
The UMA will host its joint fellowship service at 7 p.m. on Sunday at the Potter’s House Outreach Ministries, 119 A & B Clancy St. The Revs. Reginald and Gena Long are the host pastors. The Rev. Clarence Marlin, pastor of Fairview Heights Baptist Church, will bring the message.
Dorsett Chapel hosts Women’s Program
SPENCER — Women’s Weekend will be held June 27 and 28 at Dorsett Chapel, 1280 Hollywood Drive. No reservations are required.
The theme is “I’m Glad I Don’t Look Like What I’ve Been Through: Be Bold, Be Beautiful, Live In The Moment.”
Sessions begin Saturday, June 27with brunch at 10 a.m. and inspirational speaker Cathy Scott from Erwin Temple C.M.E. Church. There will also be praise dance and poetry.
On Sunday, June 28 at 11 a.m. is the Women’s Day annual service at the church, with Shay Geter, executive minister at New Faith Full Gospel Fellowship Center.
Macedonia Missionary Baptist to discuss pastor candidates
Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church will host a question and answer session with potential pastoral candidates on Saturday, June 27. This will begin at 10 a.m. All members are encouraged to attend and participate. The following Sunday, June 28, all members are encouraged to participate in casting a vote for the new pastor. The voting will take place immediately after the morning service.
Free community lunch offered
CHINA GROVE — St. Paul’s Church, 811 N. Enochville Ave., will host a free community lunch as an outreach ministry supported by St. Paul’s and RED Heart Ministries on Saturday, June 27 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The menu includes hot dogs, baked beans, macaroni salad, chips, drink.
