1 Peter 3v8-12

Finally all of you be of one mind, having compassion for one another; love as brothers, be tenderhearted, be courteous; not returning evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary blessing knowing that you were called to this, that you may inherit a blessing.  For “He who  would love life and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips from speaking deceit. Let him turn away from evil and do good: let him seek peace and pursue it. For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and His ears are open to their prayers; but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil….

We often ask “what is my calling Lord, or show me my calling.”

Looks like we find it right here in scripture.  ‘blessing, knowing that you were called to this’…

We are told in His word that we are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that we may proclaim the praises of Him who called us out of darkness into His marvelous light. 1 Pet 2 v 9.

So here are two callings right here. First called out of darkness, then called to be a blessing to others so that you may inherit a blessing.

Do you see why it is so important to stay in His word daily, God speaks to us personally through His word. We can listen to teachings of those who study Gods word, but it is important and vital that we dwell in the secret place as well. Where is this secret place?

STAY IN HIS WORD!
