We went with a friend to visit a local church today. The message had alot to do with all of the controversy going on right now, in the media. A very interesting scripture that was brought out today. He was speaking on the parable of the wheat and tares, but this particular scripture caught my attention.

Matthew 13 v41…The Son of Man will send out His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and those who practice lawlessness, and will cast them into the furnace of fire….

That is some strong stuff right there. But the point I got a revelation on was where it says The Son of Man will send His angels to gather all things that offend….
While we who are Christians believe in the Word of God to be the TRUTH, we must be careful to not get caught up in trying to clear out all those things that offend. The Lord says He will send His angels to gather the tares from the wheat. In fact in previous verses when the servants said do You want us to go and gather up the tares?, He said NO, lest you uproot the wheat with them.
He said when the time of harvest comes, He will say to the reapers gather and bind and burn.
God gave us each free will so that we can choose to make Him Lord of our lives, to Love Him and to live our lives for Him. He doesnt want robots, He wants our love.
When we were yet a sinner, and decided of our own free will to give our hearts to Jesus, we were not bullied into that decision, if so then I would say check your heart and make sure you are really His.
God is love. and LOVE never fails.
I confess my love for Jesus and that He is My Lord and Savior, and I will pray for all those who blatantly deny His word as truth. But I will not bash and bully them into accepting Him, Instead I will pray for them and trust God to send laborers into their paths. I will trust the Holy Spirit to lead them the same as He led me into the Kingdom of God. I will share the truth with them in His word. He who has ears to hear let him hear.
My prayer today is that ALL CHRISTIANS would instead of taking offence, use the best defence Jesus gave us. The Holy Spirit, and let Him lead and guide us into prayer for those things or those people which offend us.
God said He sent His Son into the world, not to condemn the world but so that the world might be saved through Him.
God tells us in His word these things are going to come about. He is not taken by surprise. These things are spoken about in Rom 1 v18-32…
The good news is that through the death of Jesus on the cross, ALL sin is forgiven. God is no respector of person. You can take your sin just as I took mine to the cross and accept His Grace and forgiveness. The choice is yours to make, I can’t force you to take this free gift, nor can anyone else. Only you can decide.
I am learning for myself more and more not to be so quick to be offended, but rather wait, take a breath, and then turn it over to God. That is one of the dangers of FB we are too quick to add our opinions and sometimes we are the ones who become the offender.
Remember For God so Loved the WORLD, He gave His only Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. It is His desire that none perish. He doesnt love you any more than He loves me. He tells us we are to hate the sin, but love the sinner. The best way to love a sinner is to pray for them. AMEN.
