Response to Ally Award
I would like to say a few words concerning the article about the Salisbury Pride Ally Award (Wednesday, May 13).
Quote: “If a person is born left-handed or right-handed, nobody holds that against them. But yet if they are born gay, they want to hold that against them,” says Ketner.
Response: If that was true, then God would owe an apology to Sodom and Gomorrah. God would not judge someone for something they cannot help.
Quote: Sheffield, Ralph Ketner and Linda Ketner are hopeful that Woodson will issue a proclamation for Pride Fest and — on a larger scale — that the U.S. Supreme Court will rule to strike down gay marriage bans nationwide in the coming weeks.
Response: It is not man that defined and instituted marriage — it is God. God took a rib from Adam and created Eve and brought her to him.
“Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife; and they shall be one flesh.” Genesis 2:24
When man changes the definition of marriage we are on dangerous ground. It opens the door to countless ideas! What happens when someone wants to marry a tree, a pet, a child?
Quote: Linda shared her struggle of trying to change herself for 30 years before finally coming out …
Response: This letter is not meant to hurt anyone. This letter is being written to show what the grace of God can do.
The answer is allowing Jesus Christ to come into our hearts and lives as Lord and Savior. Then, and only then, can true change take place.
I made that choice. He changed me.
“And such were some of you; but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.” I Corinthians 6:11
