Mr. and Mrs. Thomas A. Burris, Jr. of Faith are delighted to announce the engagement of their daughter, Heather Renee Burris, to Jackie Neal Day, Jr. of Salisbury. Neal is the son of Willene Caskey of Vale and the late Jack Day of Kannapolis.
Heather is the granddaughter of Mary Sue McKeithan and the late Jesse McKeithan of Faith and the late Thomas (T.A.) and Fran Burris of Rockwell. A graduate of East Rowan High School, Heather attended East Carolina University and Pfeiffer University. She is a Registered Nurse at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem.
Neal is the grandson of the late J. Will and Lucille Christie of Cleveland and the late Roy and Martha Day of Kannapolis. A graduate of East Burke High School in Connelly Springs, Neal is employed at Norandal in Salisbury, where he has been for 15 years.
The couple will marry Sept. 19 at Historic Gold Hill Park.
