Rowan Hospice & Palliative Care will begin a monthly veterans’ coffee event in Cabarrus County on Aug. 12. Veterans will be able to share stories and see informal presentations by community organizations.

The event will be 8:30-10:30 a.m. at Hendrick Motorsports Team Building Center, 4433 Papa Joe Hendrick Blvd., Charlotte (Concord). Free coffee and pastries will be offered. For more information, call (336)-331-1309.

The coffee time will usually be on the first Wednesday of each month.
