Rick Ridenhour and Kathleen Drake Ridenhour of Salisbury are celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary today, Aug. 16, 2015. A family trip was taken in July to Topsail Island and they are planning a weekend getaway to the South Carolina coast.
The Ridenhours were united in marriage Aug. 16, 1975, at Center Methodist Church in Welcome by the late Rev. Bennie Bearden. Rick retired from Rowan County as Director of Facilities Management after 26 years, and Kathleen is employed by Hefner V.A. Medical Center in the Cardiology Clinic.
The couple have two sons, Brandon Ridenhour, of Germantown, Md., and Kyle Ridenhour and wife Jennifer of China Grove; and one daughter, Laura Ridenhour and fiance Alex Kruchkow, of Salisbury. They are also awaiting the arrival of their first grandchild in December, a grandson.
