Carson running back Darren Isom landed a huge blow Friday in the Cougars’ home game against East Rowan.
In the final minute of the first half, Isom took the pitch on a hook-and-lateral and ran 36 yards to the end zone. The Cougars led 35-7 at halftime and went on to beat the Mustangs 48-21.
Isom scored an additional three touchdowns on the East Rowan defense. He had 133 rushing yards on 18 carries.
