The Democratic Party of Rowan County has scheduled the following candidates for office to speak at their regular monthly meeting, tonight at 6:30 in the county commissioners room in the county building, 130 W. Innes St.
Three candidates for re-election to the Rowan-Salisbury school board: Kay Wright Norman, Dr. Richard Miller and Jean Kennedy will be speaking. L.A. Overcash, the fourth incumbent in this election has another commitment, but will speak at a later meeting.
Two candidates for U.S. Congress will also speak. Josh Brannon, who is challenging Virginia Foxx in the 5th Congressional District, and Antonio Blue, who is running against Richard Hudson in the 8th District.
Alma Adams, running in the 12th District will be speaking in Salisbury on Oct. 6.
Other candidates may be present for introduction as well.
