Kluttz Reamer attorney named Educational Achievement Advocate by NCAJ
Michael S. Adkins, a partner in the Kluttz Reamer law firm of Salisbury, has been recognized by the N.C. Advocates for Justice as an advocate in its Educational Achievement Program.
The N.C. Advocates for Justice is a nonpartisan association of more than 4,000 legal professionals dedicated to protecting people’s rights through community, education and advocacy. Adkins serves on the education, legislative affairs and legal affairs committees and the executive committee for the autotorts section with the organization.
Adkins received his law degree from Wake Forest University School of Law and has 23 years of experience practicing law in Rowan County. He joined Kluttz Reamer as a partner in 2005. His areas of practice include civil litigation, state criminal law, personal injury and traffic law.
He is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association and Rowan County Bar Association, where he has served as president; and the American Advocates for Justice. He also works or has served on the board of the Juvenile Crime Prevention Council, Pregnancy Support Center, the Courthouse Security Committee, the East Rowan Boosters Club and the Gideons. Recently, he was also recognized as a top-rated litigation lawyer by The Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings. Martindale-Hubbell is an objective indicator of a lawyer’s high ethical standards and professional ability, generated from evaluations of lawyers by other members of the bar and the judiciary in the United States and Canada.
Adkins and his wife, Cindy, have two grown children, Nick and Lydia. He is a member of Wyatt’s Grove Baptist Church, where he serves as church moderator and as a member of the Board of Deacons.
Stitchin Post 40th anniversary
Stitchin Post Gifts will celebrate its 40th anniversary on Thursday, Sept. 17, from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Fowler Therapy celebrates seven years
Fowler Physical Therapy at 1508 W. Innes St. is celebrating its seven-year anniversary. Patient appreciation day will be Tuesday, Sept. 15, from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. with refreshments and prizes.
Dr. Delaine Fowler is chief executive officer of Fowler Physical Therapy. She has worked in the rehabilitation and wellness arena for 10 years. Fowler received her doctor of physical therapy in 2004 from Elon University.
Since that time, she has focused her career in sports and industrial rehabilitation. Her passions include helping others understand the power of moving as a part of a healthy life. One of her biggest joys as a health care provider is helping her patients and clients get back to their passions, whether it be playing soccer, running, playing with their kids or getting back to work without hurting.
Fowler lives with her husband and two boys in Salisbury. She is active in the running and triathlon community.
