Ditto your letter and then some
Kitty Chadwick’s letter praising and supporting Fibrant was spot-on (“Fibrant fabulous to this newcomer,” Oct. 2). I had the same situation when I moved here nearly four years ago. My now former cable/internet company just couldn’t figure out how to run the new lines, but the Fibrant guys came through with flying colors. They called in as much help as needed to get the job done and I’ve had nothing but fantastic service since. Any problem just means picking up the phone, calling and speaking to a person (usually just down the road), and it’s handled.The single time I had to leave my number on the voicemail, they called back within a short time. Impressive customer service.
That wonderful customer service extends to the Salisbury Utilities crews also. They have been out near my home for the last seven to eight weeks replacing some sewer pipes. During these weeks, they have kept the neighbors up to date on what they were doing and how long they expected to be there. They were cognizant of the safety of the roads (hills and blind curves where they were working), they were polite and friendly, and best of all, they were neat. When they finished, they left the area looking better than before they came.
I’ve lived in three other towns and two other states before moving here to Salisbury and have dealt with many public works departments along the way. Salisbury’s deserves to be bragged about.

A good judge
The citizens of Cabarrus County are faced with an important decision in this year’s election to fill Judge Spainhour’s seat when he retires after serving on the bench for many years. His retirement will leave a record of distinguished service which will be difficult to match, but I believe there is a candidate who can do just that.
I would like to offer my endorsement of Bill Rogers as candidate for senior resident Superior Court judge in Cabarrus County. Having known Bill for 30 years, I can say without hesitation that he is a fine lawyer with many years’ experience in this county, familiar with the court system and court personnel, and possessing the integrity, knowledge and wisdom necessary to serve the office well. Bill Rogers has the skills and discernment so critical to the office of Superior Court judge, having served in various offices of the local and state bars, community affairs and operated a law firm, and I feel certain he will bring those skills, along with his sense of fairness, honesty and dignity, to the bench if he is elected.
I urge the voting public of Cabarrus County to elect Bill Rogers as the next senior resident Superior Court judge of District 19A.
