Rowan weather: Mostly sunny today, rain Saturday

Last night’s storms knocked power out in a number of neighborhoods, mostly due to downed trees or limbs. Today started out foggy. What’s next?

Well, another slight chance of rain, just 20 percent today, with storms possible after 2 p.m. It should be sunny and warm, with a high of 85. Tonight, just a 30 percent chance of showers and storms, with a low of 65.

And Saturday”s chance of rain goes up to 50 percent, with mostly cloudy skies and a high near 80. Calm wind will pick up to 5-8 mph from the west southwest in the afternoon. The chance of rain drops to 30 percent Saturday night, with a cool low of 58.

Any storms could produce heavy rainfall and cloud to ground lightning.

Sunday starts a pattern of mostly sunny days with lower highs and lows. The high Sunday will be just 54 degrees. And the low will be 52.

For Monday, it will be sunny and 75, with another low of 52.

Tuesday, sunny and 81, with a low of 55.

Mostly sunny Wednesday, with a high of 81 and a low of 59.

Thursday, more of the same, with a high of 83.

Looks like we’re in for good sleeping weather and more pleasant days.
