Now through Oct. 3, Rail Walk Studios & Gallery is showing “Moving On With Mixed Emotions.”

An opening reception for Karen Frazer, the artist, will be Friday, Sept. 18, from 6 until 8 p.m. It is free and open to the public.

The show is a collection of work representing the circle, a long explored subject for Ms. Frazer. The circle is expressed in variations of spirals, mandalas, and the Zen practice of Enso. Included are paintings and sculptures, some are acrylic and some are encaustic wax.

After maintaining a studio for six years, this will be the last solo show at Rail Walk for Ms. Frazer. She will soon be moving to the Ann Arbor area of Michigan.

Rail Walk Studios and Gallery, 409-413 N. Lee St. Thursday- Saturday 11 a.m.-4 p.m., 704-431-8964, www.railwalkgallery.com
