South Rowan Y Service Club Calls Community to Prayer

South Rowan Y Service Club is issuing a call to the citizens of our community to join with us in a South Rowan Community Prayer Breakfast on Friday, Sept. 25 at the J. Fred Corriher, Jr. South Rowan YMCA at 7 a.m. Breakfast will be served beginning at 6:45 a.m. There is no charge.

The purpose of this prayer breakfast is to pray for a healing of our community, state and nation at this critical time in our history. In 2 Chronicles 7:13-14, after the glorious celebration and dedication of the new Temple of God by King Solomon, God spoke these words of warning and promise to King Solomon about God’s role in the life if His people:

“When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command locusts to devour the land or send a plague among my people, if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked way, then will I hear from heaven, then will I forgive their sins, and will heal their land.”

It is time for our nation to heed God’s warnings and claim His promises.

The speaker for the prayer breakfast is Pastor James White, Senior Pastor of Christ Our King Community Church in Raleigh. He currently serves as Senior Vice President of Leadership Development for the YMCA of the Triangle Area.

This prayer breakfast is open to all residents within the South Rowan Community who desire to attend. Call 704-857-7011 with any questions.
