Three law enforcement agencies were involved in an investigation that resulted in the arrest of a Salisbury woman on charges of trafficking opium/heroin.

According to a report from the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office, Robin Yarborough Oliver, 58, of 120 Independence Drive, was arrested Wednesday, following an investigation involving the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office, Iredell County Sheriff’s Office and the Salisbury Police Department.

On Wednesday, an undercover operative with the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office bought 60 hydrocodone tablets from Oliver at her residence in Salisbury.

Following the transaction, investigators arrested Oliver and got a search warrant for her residence.  Investigators seized approximately 200 hydrocodone tablets, 260 oxycodone tablets (Roxicodone) and eight amphetamine/dextroamphetamine tablets (Adderall), which Oliver was not allowed to legally possess.

Other medications prescribed to Oliver were also seized by investigators, along with $1,020 in cash.

On Thursday, the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office obtained a search warrant for a mini-storage building on North Main Street in Salisbury, after information was developed about the unit during the search on Independence Drive.

Investigators from the Sheriff’s Office and the Salisbury Police Department seized approximately 400 additional hydrocodone tablets which Oliver was not legally allowed to have.

During the search of Oliver’s residence, investigators found a key to the storage unit.

The street value of the illegal substances seized on both dates was around $10,000. Oliver will face additional charges related to the two searches and other arrests are likely. Oliver is in the Rowan County Detention Center under a $10,000 secured bond.

A man at the 9300 block of Statesville Boulevard reported a larceny on Tuesday.

A man reported a fraud Tuesday at the 100 block of Crestwood Drive.

A woman reported an assault Tuesday at the 100 block of Overbrook Road.

A resident at the 1100 block of Burchette Drive in Rockwell resisted arrest on Tuesday.

Roger Earl Williams, 32, was arrested Tuesday at the 3600 block of River Road, Richfield, on charges of assaulting a female.

Lauren Annette Robbins, 16, was arrested Tuesday at the Sheriff’s Office on charges of assaulting a child.

Telea Quin Lynch, 36, was arrested at the 100 block of Overbrook Road on Tuesday on charges of simple assault.

Bobby Leverne Burchette, 52, was arrested on charges of resist, delay or obstructing a public officer at the 1100 block of Burchette Drive, Tuesday.

Brandy Marie Crawford, 16, was charged with possession of a controlled substance.

Novant Health Rowan Medical Center reported Wednesday that an intoxicated patient assaulted a nurse by kicking her.

Police seized drug paraphernalia during a warrant service, Wednesday at the 600 block of Bringle Ferry Road.

A woman reported Wednesday that items had been taken from her home at the 1700 block of East Innes Street.

A man reported Wednesday that a vehicle had been damaged in a hit and run at the 1600 block of Stokes Ferry Road.

A burglary was reported Wednesday at the 400 block of Lake Drive.

Police seized marijuana during a traffic checkpoint at the intersection of North Martin Luther King, Jr. Avenue and Bringle Ferry Road on Wednesday.

A man reported an attempted armed robbery at the 300 block of Foster Lane on Wednesday.

Claymore Christopher Jones II, 22, of Grubb Ferry Road, was arrested Wednesday at the 600 block of Bringle Ferry Road on charges of resist, delay or obstructing a public officer, seven misdemeanor counts of larceny, one felony larceny, simple assault and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was placed in the Detention Center under $8,500 bond.

Cameron Jermaine Knox, 25, of East Spencer, was arrested Wednesday at the 700 block of North Martin Luther King, Jr. Avenue on charges of larceny and probation violation. His bond was set at $10,000.
