Jerry Wayne Heilig and Dianne Sloop Heilig of China Grove are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary today, Jan. 19, 2014. They were married Jan. 19, 1964, at Grace Lutheran Church in Salisbury by Rev. James E. Walker.
Jerry retired from Hanesbrands Inc. in China Grove, and Dianne retired from the Rowan-Salisbury School System, having been employed as secretary at China Grove Elementary.
The Heiligs’ children are Robin Heilig Bernhardt of Salisbury and Karen Heilig Hurst (Jeremy) of China Grove. Their grandchildren are Jake and Lauren Bernhardt and Carson Hurst.
