Fall Festival at Lazy 5 Ranch —Saturdays and Sundays through Nov. 1: Straw castle, corn box, pumpkin slingshot, pumpkin patch, fall decorations, pumpkin painting and more. October Salisbury Ghost Walk — Friday, Oct. 30 at 7 p.m., 8:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. On Halloween night, tours are at 7 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. The walk covers a six block area in down town Salisbury where tales of shadow ghosts, apparitions and orbs will be revealed. Historical facts tell how in the 1800s Salisbury earned the reputation as the “wettest and wickedest” town in the state. Bring camera, smart phone and flashlight, some tales come to life via present day haunts. True stories is all we reveal. $5 students, $10 adults. Age 5 and under free. Murder, Mystery and Mayhem Scavenger Hunt — 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30: The Friends of the Kannapolis Library need your help! During the revealing of priceless paintings, a crime was committed. The dedicated custodian doing last minute cleaning stumbled upon a theft of the Picasso painting. Later that evening the body is discovered along with clues throughout the library. By wandering the stacks searching clues in reference books, and on shelves and walls, we will be working as a team to solve who committed this shocking crime! Fun for kids at the Farmers’ Market — 9:30-11 a.m. Saturday: Bring your kids to the farmers market this weekend where they can decorate and take home a free small pumpkin.
