A local couple faces counterfeiting charges after they used counterfeit bills at a gas station in September. Surveillance video shows Ebin Shaheed Williams, 22, of Spencer, visiting the Circle K at the 1000 block of East Innes Street on four separate occasions on Sept. 4. According to the police report, Williams bought two packs of cigarettes, gas, a box of cigars, and a Coke over the course of the evening. Each time, he allegedly paid with a counterfeit $100 bill.

According to police, his girlfriend, Kanesha Deshawan Hosch, 20, of Salisbury, was working that evening as the cashier. Hosch also works as an aide at Magnolia Gardens. Williams allegedly gave Hosch a kiss on the cheek after he purchased the Coke.

The two were arrested Thursday. Williams was charged with four counts of uttering a forged instrument, one count of forgery bank notes and four counts of obtaining property by false pretenses. Williams has previously been charged in Rowan County with assault, possession of a controlled substance, carrying a concealed weapon, breaking and entering, and wanton damage to personal property, among others. He has been transported to the Rowan County Jail and was placed under a $25,000 secured bond.

Hosch has been charged with four counts of aiding and abetting obtaining property by false pretenses and has been detained in the Rowan County Jail under a $25,000 secured bond. She has no previous criminal record.

• A woman at the 700 block of East Liberty Street reported Wednesday that someone out of state had stolen her identity.
• A counterfeit bill was reported Wednesday at the 3400 block of South Main Street.
• Diann Jones, 42, of the 900 block of West Horah Street, was charged Wednesday with cyberstalking after she sent harassing and threatening e-mails to the director and staff of Rowan Helping Ministries. Jones sent a total of 45 e-mails between July 2014 and August 2015.
• The woman police found passed out Wednesday in the McDonald’s on East Innes Street has been released from Novant Health Rowan Medical Center. She has been identified as Bobbie Jo Steep, 43, and was charged with possessing a controlled substance and possessing drug paraphernalia.
• Donald Lowell Dietz, 48, was arrested Wednesday and served with seven outstanding warrants from Mecklenberg, Iredell, Lincoln, Catawba and Rowan counties. His charges include hit and run, larceny, breaking and entering a building and obtaining property by false pretenses. He will face court dates in all counties and is currently held in the Rowan County Detention Center under a $21,500 secured bond.
• Elija-wn Unique Oglesby, 16, was charged Wednesday at the 100 block of Ackert Avenue with resist, delay, or obstructing a public officer.

In Rowan County Sheriff’s Office reports:

• A man reported Tuesday that cars at the 10900 block of U.S. Highway 52 in Rockwell had been broken into and items were stolen.
• Deputies responded to reports of a fraud Tuesday at the 1100 block of Forest Oaks Drive.
• A woman reported Tuesday that someone had broken into her house at the 2800 block of Airport Road and stolen several items.
• A woman at the 1100 block of Bentley Court in Rockwell reported that her vehicle had been broken into Tuesday.
• A woman reported credit card fraud Tuesday at the 100 block of Cruse Circle.
• A woman at the 100 block of Windsor Wood Trail, Rockwell, reported a burglary to her vehicle Tuesday.
• A man at the 1100 block of Panther Point Road in Richfield reported items stolen from his home Tuesday.
• Holly Ann Womack, 19, was charged with assault Tuesday at the 100 block of Elliott Drive.
• Mary Conley, 37, was charged with using drug equipment and paraphernalia during a traffic stop at Parks Field Drive in Kannapolis on Tuesday.
• Jimmy Douglas Martin, 50, was charged with filing a false report Tuesday at the 6600 block of West N.C. 152 Highway after he reported that his car was stolen.
• Randy Lee Davis was taken into deputies’ custody at the 200 block of Kay Street when the Sheriff’s Office received a report that Davis was a fugitive and had an outstanding warrant. Davis is wanted in Leon County, Florida, for robbery without a gun or deadly weapon and probation violation. He has been placed under a $1 million secured bond and will be extradited to Florida.
