Rowan County 4-H clubs are taking orders for their annual wreath fundraiser. This year, Rowan County 4-H is not only selling Fraser fir wreaths and boxwood wreaths, but specialty wreaths and garland as well.
Wreaths are made by Pardue Tree Farm & Nursery, a small family owned and operated Christmas tree farm in Alleghany County. A fresh wreath that is cared for properly will be a joy to its owners for a month or more. It is not only beautiful, but its fragrance is amazing.
The standard door size wreaths are available in Fraser fir, boxwood, or a triple mix (Fraser fir, boxwood and white pine). Also available are large Fraser fir wreaths, large boxwood wreaths, a small and large square wreath, undecorated kissing balls in Fraser fir or boxwood, a small and large Christmas star, and a peace sign wreath.
If you are interested in garland, we have two types available in various lengths. The white pine garland can be purchased in lengths of 25, 50 or 75 feet. There is also a double mix garland of Fraser fir and white pine available in 25 and 75 feet.
The wreaths are handmade and are fresh when you pick them up. Wreaths will be available for pick-up on Wednesday, Dec. 2 at the Agricultural Center, 2727 Old Concord Road, from 8:30 a.m. until 4 p.m.
To order, contact a local 4-H club member or call the Rowan County Cooperative Extension Office at 704-216-8970. The cost of the Fraser fir wreath is $20 and the cost of the boxwood wreath is $25. Call for pricing on the specialty items. You must order your wreath by Thursday, Nov. 12. Support Rowan County 4-H youth by purchasing a beautiful Fraser fir wreath or boxwood wreath today.
