Senate race hits another new low?

And it was only a matter of time. Supporters of Kay Hagan have taken the last irrevocable leap into slimy Democrat politics of old. When all else fails, race bait as hard as you can — the president will be impeached if Hagan doesn’t win, replete with a lynching photo in the background (Fayetteville Observer, Oct 20). Really?

Talk about slinging something on the wall to see what sticks! It’s really desperation on a despicable scale, and one would think a senator of all the people would decry such antics on her behalf. Uhhh, no, only thing heard from her campaign is, “We don’t know anything about that” — typical response from Democrats when they get caught with stink on their hands.

Check her website to see what she has to say about it all, if you can find anything. My concern isn’t what will happen to President Obama if she loses, it’s what else will befall North Carolina if she wins.

I don’t know if Thom Tillis is the way to a stronger, unified North Carolina, but after almost six years it’s not hard to understand Kay Hagan is not.

Man of honesty

I have known Bill Rogers since he began his law practice in Cabarrus County. In the years that followed, we developed a professional and personal relationship that continues today. Bill has always impressed me as a man of honesty and integrity and a man who genuinely has the interest of others at heart.

This is the same opinion held by persons who have come to know him through his law practice or personal interests. Bill’s interest in others is shown by his willingness to assist in community and church activities. Bill is now seeking the office of senior resident Superior Court judge in Cabarrus County.

A recent judicial performance evaluation survey conducted by the N.C.  Bar Association gave Bill high marks in all categories. This survey only affirms what people who have known Bill for years have known. I encourage the voters of this county to elect Bill Rogers on Nov. 4th.
