EAST SPENCER — John Noble III is happy to be serving the citizens of East Spencer for another term.
Noble was re-elected Tuesday to serve on the Board of Aldermen for East Spencer.
Noble said he was glad that the citizens had enough confidence in him to vote for him again.
“They have confidence in me to know that I will … lead the town forward, and so it can be better for everybody,” he said.
Noble said he will work on getting Andrews Street developed, as well as improving the water system in East Spencer. He said he also wanted to work with the police and fire departments to make sure they are equipped to do their jobs to the best of their ability.
“They can’t function if they don’t have the things that they need,” he said.
Noble was elected to the board with 23.8 percent of the vote, in third place after Alderman Curtis Cowan and Alderwoman Deloris High. Mayor Barbara Mallett was also re-elected with 73.9 percent of the vote.
Noble said the town is moving forward, and he is happy that the board incumbents, along with Mallett, were re-elected to aid in the forward push.
“(Mallett) is a big part of running the town and making sure everything runs smoothly,” he said.
