Davie missionary to talk about work in South Sudan

SALISBURY — Missionary Billy Riddle will speak Wednesday night at John Calvin Presbyterian Church.
Riddle, from Davie County, played football at Appalachian State and went to South Sudan for a summer. He was so impressed with the needs of the people there that he founded a mission called Hope Grows International Development. He and his wife, who have been working in the Sudan, are home in the U.S. now raising money to go back and continue their work.
The “Wednesday Night Live” program will begin with a covered dish meal at 6 p.m. Riddle’s program will begin at 6:30 p.m.
John Calvin Presbyterian Church is on the corner of 1620 Brenner Ave. and Overman Avenue in front of the Hefner V.A. Medical Center.
