Prep Soccer: Hornets Goodman, Lynch enter record books

Salisbury’s Landon Goodman and Joshua Lynch have entered the NCHSAA record book.
Goodman’s 66 goals this season tied him for third place in state history.
Goodman also is listed among the state leaders for career goals with 113.
He had 39 as a junior, seven as a sophomore and one as a freshman.
Lynch had 38 assists this season, the most in Salisbury history and the eighth-highest total for a season that’s been reported to the NCHSAA.

Goodman and Cristian Uribe made the North Carolina Coaches Association All-State team for 2A public schools.
Salisbury’s Taylor Strode was named Assistant Coach of the Year for 2A public schools.
Salisbury’s Marr Parrish and Carson’s Ryan Winchip were named region coaches of the year for their classifications.
Salisbury’s Goodman, Uribe, Reilly Gokey, Lynch and Arturo Ramirez made all-region.
Carson’s Pedro Perez, Danny Nava, Khalid Myers, Colton Correll and Ricky Maldonado were named all-region.
South Rowan’s Cameron Corriher and Luis Delgado were named all-region, as well as East Rowan’s George Rea.
A.L. Brown’s Casey Abba and Nico Delgado were named all-region.
Gray Stone’s Ryan Almond, Alex Irving and Frankie Rivell were named all-region.
