Teen killed in crash on Amity Hill Road

A 17-year-old girl was killed in a car accident Tuesday morning on Amity Hill Road, just off Ostwalt-Amity Road in Iredell County.
According to a news alert from the Statesville Record & Landmark, the car the girl was driving was struck in the passenger side by another vehicle, and both vehicles traveled off the road.
The driver of the second vehicle was taken to Carolinas Medical Center.
The N.C. Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
No other details were immediately available.
